Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ms. Magallon-Tapia. I will be working with you and your child as they master the Kinder Common Core State Standards.  You have been your child's first teacher, and I look forward to joining you to continue building their educational foundation.  It is an absolute pleasure to work with the youngest students and see them become emergent readers and writers.  I hope to instill a love of learning in my students and help them make progress throughout the year. It is NEVER too late to become an active learner. Please encourage your child to see everyday as a learning opportunity.

I was a student in the Los Angeles Unified School District from Preschool through 12th grade and received my Bachelor of Arts and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge.  I began my career with LAUSD as a teacher's assistant while completing my degree and began teaching in 2006.
